Description
Well over 100 years old, Monumental Hall Tree with Mirror. All original finish, has the original hooks, the original cast iron drip pans that are in the shape of winged bats with faces. The umbrella holders are lamenated in 3 lamenents each. Has it's original gold incising throughout the piece. Has the Italian marble shelf, flanked drawer underneath with burl throughout the crest. Crest removes easily at the top. The sides come off for the umbrella holders, marble top, marble shelf comes off, drawer at base comes out, cast iron drip pans come out. Measures approx. 56" wide x 9 1/2 feet tall. The piece is an extradinary master craftsmen built piece. Was rumored to be in a famous railroad station, quite possibly Grand Central Station in New York City. In the magnificant splendor of a golden era, this Renaissance Revival Hall tree with mirror will be a focal point and statement piece for anyone who appreciates the craftsmanship and carvings of the Victorian era. This is piece is not just a piece of furniture, but a piece of history. Just absolutely phenominal in style and craftsmanship!
