A multicolored clutch (or purse) in the form of a lion's head from Judith Leiber's collection of crystal-encrusted animal minaudieres. The piece is decorated with crystals in a rich array of ambers, browns and golds, arranged in intricate raised stripes. The surface of the minaudiere's face, aside from the eyeballs, ears and nose, is finely combed to create a texture reminiscent of a lion's fur. The interior includes a certificate of authenticity, a gold miniature comb and mirror, and a coin purse. The gold chain attaches to loops that fold neatly inside the minaudiere for display. United States, marked "Judith Leiber, New York" inside. Dimensions: approx. 5" H x 4-3/4" W x 3" D. Hangs 19" on chain.

Very good overall; only a few crystals missing, mostly (due to the design of the piece) from the back.
