A Japanese carved ivory sectional okimono of a drunken samurai, late Meiji period, Tokyo school, modelled standing gesturing, a small bowl in one hand and the other arm raised, wearing a patterned kimono with mother of pearl inlay detail to the jacket and belt, the tsuka of his daisho protruding from underneath, a double gourd hanging from them, indistinctly signed to the base, 23.5cm high
