This spider brooch has a maker marking of a backwards ROE, it is Russian in origin and our research indicates that its made of a lower grade Gold(per marking) and is real. The spider pin alone has a market value of $70. Also in this lot are three Butterfly necklaces of varied age. The large pink Butterfly Necklace is signed B.J., the 2-tone butterfly necklace is by Avon, the silver colored Dragonfly Necklace is nicely enameled with a hang tag from 1928. There is a large black and white Enameled Butterfly pendant and a pretty silver toned Butterfly in profile with accent Rhinestones. There is a Japanned Beetle with Blue and White Rhinestones, this pin is signed Capri. Capri was in business from the early 1950s through the late 1970s. There is a nicely weighted yellow ladybug pin who is missing a teeny red rhinestone eye, circa 1950s and a pair of lighter weight red Lady Bugs circa 1950-60s signed Hong Kong(one is missing 2 tiny accent rhinestones on her back). There is a brushed goldtone rectangle pin with a raised Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Butterfly on top and finally, a very delicate tiny silver colored Butterfly pin. This last pin is hand formed from tiny tiny pieces of aluminum in a tramp art style handcraftsmanship circa 1930s. If you look at this one with a magnifier you will be amazed at the tiny tiny coils and bends utilized to fashion this wearable art piece!
