Pair of Louis XIV Chairs, 18thc

Fauteuils a la Reine, each painted and gilded with an arched crestrail carved with a gadrooned pattern, with leaf carved and seed pod finials, the upholstered slip-in backs over foliate carved arms and slip seat, raised on squared tapering legs carved with a guilloche pattern. Condition: wear to painted surface, possibly re-finished in the early 20th c., otherwise light expected imperfections.
