Description
Great promotional posters from Plymouth. 2 Roadrunners, 1 GTX, 1 Barracuda. Probably all created by Dave Bradesku (his name is printed on Barracuda poster). The style is a blend of mod and cartoon - especially the Roadrunner! These were available by mail order from Plymouth. They are printed on very heavy linen like paper. VERY GOOD condition, pin holes in each corner. The holes would be covered if you framed them. The colors are very vibrant. There is a little wrinkling around the edges. The Barracuda has a small tear on the bottom Size is 24" x 17".
These are vintage Dave Bradesku posters. RARE to have them all together! These posters would be used in dealerships to advertise the cars. Mot of the time the dealer sales manager would get them and put then in his/her office. This is an excerpt taken from The Detroit News: "Its cartoonish style was a break from the tradition of realism in auto ad art and in keeping with trends of the time, as the hippie culture fostered a drug-based "psychedelic" art. The drawing was by Dave Bradesku of New Center Studios and copyright 1967 by Seven Arts, Inc. - FYI - Seven Arts, Inc. was formed in 1967, when Seven Arts Productions acquired Jack Warner's controlling interest in Warner Bros. for $32 million and merged. VERY RARE to have the Road Runner (BIRD) Character shown without an official WARNER BROS. copyright!
