This lot comprises five bottles of 1990 vintage produced by Etienne Sauzet from the Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy.
The Puligny-Montrachet appellation produces some of the most highly-valued, complex and frequently sought-after dry white wines in the world, made predominantly from Chardonnay. The area encompasses almost 150 hectares of village vineyards, 100 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards and 22 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards. The four Grand Cru vineyards – Le Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet produce the most expensive and exquisite dry white wines in the world.
The 1990 vintage Sauzet Les Combettes was rated 89 points in a 1993 issue of Wine Spectator.
The fill levels are good (1x < 5 cm) to excellent (1x < 4 cm, 3x < 3 cm). The labels are slightly soiled; the capsules are in perfect condition.
