A late 19th century silver and gold enamel, seed pearl and diamond brooch, the single-cut diamond and diamond point foliate panel, within a blue guilloche enamel rectangular surround, to the seed pearl accent border. Length 3cms. Weight 5gms.

Overall condition fair. Significant surface wear and scratches. Significant repairs/alteration. Replacement catch, soft solder. Replacement pin. Replacement safety chain, with wear to the yellow metal surface. Seed pearls are possibly later added, significant glue visible. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Vary slightly in shape and appearance, subsequent possible replacements. Enamel in fair to poor condition, significant fractures and evidence of re-enamelling. Diamonds fairly bright and well matched. Single-cut diamond estimated weight 0.02ct. Due to the nature of the diamond point it is not possible to calculate an accurate total diamond point weight. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamonds in fair to good condition with some abrasion and nicks.
