Item Details

Description

An early 20th century velvet and paste bead fringe collar, the red velvet wide collar, with metallic paste bead foliate decoration, suspending a metallic paste bead fringe. Length 35cms.

Condition

Overall condition fair. Some losses to the paste beads on one end of the collar. Some strands of the fringe deficient. Purplish-grey lining very worn, only part remains. Some of the stitching has come loose. Some discolouration to the fittings. The edges of the velvet panels are thread-bare.
