A French Majolica water pitcher designed after Samuel Lear decorated with a wide band of a turquoise and bright pink flowers above yellow basket weave, with a panel of pale yellow to the shoulders, turquoise spout, twig handle, and a deep pink interior, possibly Orchies, 7 ½”. Together with a Continental turquoise ground compote decorated with leaves and blossoms against a turquoise ground. c.1880-1890, 9 ½”d, 5 ¼”h
