AN ENGLISH SILVER PLATE AND EBONY TEAPOT, CRUMBER, AND BRUSH, the teapot, by Sturges, Bladdon & Middletown of Birmingham, England in the Regency style with band of embossed reeded decoration to the barrel form body, stepped shoulder with roped band at rim, hingeddomed gadrooned lid surmounted by carved ebony finial, addorsed “C” scroll fixed handle with turned ebony insert, scrolled spout, the whole raised on flaring foot, height: 8 1/4", width: 7 1/4", depth: 5 1/4"; the crumber, by Sheffield Silver Co. of Brooklyn, New York, with fan shaped pan engraved with pseudo armorial, with Bakelite base brush which slides into base of pan; together with additional unmarked brush.
