A THREE PIECE AMERICAN GILT LACQUERED BRASS GIRANDOLES GARNITURE, BEAR AND BEES PATTERN, POSSIBLY BY STAR, SELLERS & CO., NEW YORK, CIRCA 1860, each cast as a young bear and cub swarmed with bees as they grasp a large beehive, sheltered within a reticulated gothic revival ruin, issuing a reeded floral stem ending in a bobèche of pierced stylized leaves suspending cut glass pointed drops, centering a reeded vasiform nozzle, raised on a rectangular white marble base,comprising a three-light girandole with reeded fruiting vine entwined scrolling arms, height 17", width 15" and the pair of single light girandoles, height 12 3/8"
