A GROUP OF THREE ROMAN PROVINCIAL CARVED LIMESTONE HEADS, POSSIBLY LATE ROMAN EMPIRE PERIOD, one nicely rendered as a bald man with protruding eyes flanked by angled ears pierced for suspension, above a tightly curled beard, reversing to a flat cut back, possibly depicting Silenus, height: 7", width: 5 1/4", depth: 1 3/4"; a statuary head of a goddess turned slightly dexter and sculpted with large almond eyes within nicely defined eyelids and hair coiled at forehead continuing down sides behind ears and ending at nape of neck in a small chignon on a properly proportioned neck enclosing a short hollowed square interior opening (for mounting on body of sculpture), height: 7"; a flat back bust of a maiden deity with center parted hairstyle above large eyes with defined eyelids and lips reversing to a flat back slightly contoured at top, possibly depicting Aphrodite and from a frieze, height: 5", width: 4", depth: 2".
