Every good wish to 'Prospero' from his mother" in pencil on front free endpaper, 1930; A Production , one of 500 copies, 1930; Ellen Terry and her Secret Self, [1931]; Index to the Story of My Days, 1957 § Craig (Edward) Gordon Craig: The Story of His Life, 1968 § Valogne (Catherine) Gordon Craig, inscribed by EGC to John Gielgud "John from Ted 1953 " in ink on title, browned and chipped at edges, original wrappers, frayed, Paris, 1953, all from the library of John Gielgud , all but the first two and last with his signature and sometimes his bookplate, original cloth or boards, rubbed, the third and fourth rebacked, the sixth lacking spine ; and a small quantity of others by or about Craig or Gielgud including programmes for Hamlet with each of them in the title role, some pamphlets and ephemera ; and a folder of prints from the Ralph Richardson collection and a copy of the sale catalogue, v.s. (c.35) Sir John Gielgud (1904-2000) was Edward Gordon Craig's cousin, being the grandson of Kate Terry and grandnephew of Ellen Terry. He generously assisted Craig in his later penurious days. Provenance; most purchased at the sale of Gielgud's collection, Sotheby's, 2001.
