Abd'Allah Al-Taftazani (d.792 AH / 1390 AD) was a renowned Persian scholar and author on grammar, rhetoric, theology, logic, law & Qur'an genesis. The colophon on f.146 confirms the dates in which the author commenced and completed this work (742-748 AH / 1342-1347 AD) as well as the date and place this in which this copy was transcribed (Fez, Morocco 1208 AH / 1794 AD), however the name of the scribe has since been obliterated.
