EXTREMELY RARE Original 1936 Wyandotte Streamlined Cracker Jack Flatbed Tin Truck with wooden wheels. 8" long. This was not inside a Cracker Jack prize box…it was available only as an in-store product premium from the Cracker Jack Co. The only reference I was able to locate on this rare item was from a single newspaper clipping from the Sundy funnies page featuring the comic strip Apple Mary. Apparently it was a promotional item for the new, larger size of Cracker Jack. It was produced by Wyandotte, and is unmarked like many of the Wyandotte toys often are found. The design and style of the "teardrop" front fenders and running boards, box-like cab, roof and windows, slanted V-shaped front grille, wooden wheels, all were used by Wyandotte during this same time period. Everything including paint, parts, and wooden wheels are all original.
