A cast vessel with piriform body, flared base, scooped spout, S-curved handle with beast-head at the upper end, bird-head at the lower; silver-inlaid guilloche to the base, rosettes to the head and sphinxes on panels of dense gilt foliage to the body; band of reserved silver-inlaid calligraphic text to the shoulder on a field of gilt foliage. 1 kg, 23 cm (9").
