attributed to John J. Suter of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. bearing initials “J. J. S” on barrel along with an eight-pointed star. walnut stock inlaid with an 1833 Liberty silver dollar. 40” octagonal barrel, double set trigger. Note: John J. Suter (1823-1902) of Ruffsdale, PA apprenticed with John Johnson. He made plain, long percussion hunting rifles of large caliber with no ornamentation. His rifles were marked “J. J.
