Qing Dynasty,The decoration of Chinese porcelain in under-glaze cobalt blue and under-glaze copper red was already fashionable in the first half of the 15th century, during the reign of Xuande Emperor. (Startel, 2011) In the periods of Yongzheng and Qianlong, the introduction of the Under-glaze Blue and Red, commonly known as "Blue and White adding Purple", was an integrated porcelain decoration technique which combined Blue and White with Under-glazed Red. (Chinese Porcelain Primer Under-glaze Red, Under-glaze Blue and Red). This snuff bottle is very delicately and exquisitely painted with figure group in pavilions of garden scene by widely used cobalt blue and decorated with copper red. H: 8cm. Condition: Good, there is still some snuff left in bottle.

清 青花釉里红人物故事鼻烟壶，底有花押款。 鼻烟壶起源于清朝初期，因承装鼻烟而得名。此烟壶器型口微外撇，直颈平肩，连直筒型壶腹，下转内收圈足，整体方正大气，予人宽广厚重之感。胎体洁白莹润，细腻晶亮；器口包釉，颈周绘青花灵芝云纹与弦纹，肩上绘变形缠枝莲纹；壶腹周身以青花釉里红绘连贯亭台景致人物故事，画中人物形态各异，姿态万千，表情丰富，须发毕现，笔法之细腻，令人咋舌。釉下红彩自肩部起便与青花交相辉映，发色自上而下由淡雅转至艳丽，过渡自然纯朴，竟是突出主题而恰到好处。壶底圈足内部施釉，以青花釉里红落荷花状花押款，款识规整瓣落重叠，全然不像普通民窑花押款之凌乱简单，想来必是工匠精心之作，才能在足底也做足如此文章罢。Condition: Good
