Gustave Baumann (German/American, 1881 - 1971). "Eagle Ceremony at Tesuque Pueblo". Color woodcut. 1932. Signed with the stamp, lower right; monogrammed in the block, lower left. Probably a proof impression. Cream wove paper. Very wide margins. Fine impression. Fine condition. Provenance: Private collection, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Baumann was an American printmaker and painter and one of the leading figures of the color woodcut revival in America. Overall size: 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. (267 x 216 mm). Image size: 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 in.
