N 322 Kaffrarian Rifles, South Africa, 1910. Partial Set. N 322 was issued as an 6 figure set; one officer and seven riflemen at the trail. The unit is one of the harder to find sets in the Nostalgia line, and, as a regiment, this appraiser has seen it offered by only one other major producer of glossy toy soldiers. This set, while missing two ORs does have the unique officer and I consider it a good buy as one can often find that missing OR or two at shows or on Ebay. Produced by Andrew Rose and believed to be a limited edition of either 60 or 81 sets. Regiment was raised in the Cape Colony in 1883, and saw active service in the Boer War, in German Southwest Africa during WW I, and with the 4th South African Infantry Brigade in the Western Desert in WW II.
