Description

Unusual Lacquered Decoupage Box, 20th c., signed "PND" for Prescott N. Dunbar, New Orleans, with black and white scenes of architecture and animals, H.- 4 in., W.- 12 7/8 in., D.- 7 1/2 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Some mild yellow and white spits are noted intermittently on the top. Some very mild wear is observed to the corners, one noted with slight lifting to the applied decoration. The interior edges appear with minor losses to the applied decoration. The interior box floor has some notable rippling. A splendid composition.
