Condition: Very dirty varnish. Frame rubbing. Scattered craquelure. Areas of paint separation in the sky. Visible stretcher lines. Old repaired area of damage in the lower center, approximately 2 inch tear, with inpainting and patch on back. 3 1/2 inch area of major paint separation which has caused the canvas to thin and pull apart, in the center just above the horse. It appears that the area in and around the figure of the horse had been cleaned some time ago. Need the attention of a conservator.
