Wolf/Wien (ur), inscribed on the artist's label affixed to the back is the title, written indistinctly in German and the artist's name Oil on panel 19 11/16 x 15 5/8 inches (50.0 x 39.7 cm.) Condition reportCondition: Frame rubbing. Some areas of paint separation, mainly in the desk. Tiny fissures on the surface of the panel scattered throughout. Scattered inpainting - underneath the man's right foot; outlining his hair; behind and along his calves; in his left pant leg; there may be some other spots of inpainting, however, the dulling varnish makes the detection of restoration rather difficult under UV light.
