The book was published by Phaidon in 2001 in a limited edition of 100 copies and contains the signed and numbered silver gelatine print 'New York, 1969'. The book is signed and numbered '55 Elliott Erwitt' on the title. The turquoise cloth-bound book and slipcase show silver foil stamping.

Elliott Erwitt (born in 1928)
Elliott Erwitt was born in Paris on 26th July 1928. He is an American photographer and has been working as the president and vice-president of the popular photo agency Magnum Photos. Magnum Photos was founded in 1947 by a group of photographers, amongst others Henri Cartier Bresson and Robert Capa. The photographers had the ambition to be independent vis-Ã -vis the big magazines and photo agencies.
