Evaluation by Dr. Qing Chang, PhD in Chinese Art History, MA in Chinese Buddhist Archeology. Chinese folk painting on Lu, one of the Three Gods of Daoism. Lu, meaning salary and position, is represented by the middle age man who wears a uniform of officials from the Ming dynasty. Chinese people believe that worshiping this god could provide them salary and position from the government. The two young boys are the attendants of the god.
