Lionel prewar standard gauge desirable peacock and orange Macys Special no. 2 passenger set, circa 1929-30 in individual OBs and set box. This set contains a 8E electric loco with orange inserts and stripe, red lettered brass plates and trim, 332 baggage, 339 Pullman and a 341 observation with a Macys Special drumhead on the end railing. The peacock cars have orange window inserts and doors and nickel journals. Each car has orange plates that have Macys Special stamping. The loco is C7 and the cars are C7-8. The loco has an OB that is stamped 8E P.BLUE and is missing three flaps on one end. All of the car boxes are stamped P.BLUE and have all flaps attached. There is a orange paste on label on the set box which reads R. H. Macy & Co., Inc. NEW YORK. The box has no split corners and both labels are intact.
