Lionel prewar standard gauge two-tone Blue Comet passenger set no. 396E, circa 1930 all in individual OBs. The set contains 390E steam loco with brass and copper trim, red lettered brass plates under the windows and cream stripe, 390T tender with black lettered brass plates, brass trim, nickel journals and cream stripe, 420 Faye Pullman, 421 Westphal Pullman and a 422 Tempel observation. The cars have cream inserts, black lettered brass plates and die-cast journals. The loco and tender are C7-8. All three cars have rust on the metal support brackets inside the cars. The roof on the 420 has crazing and one truck has some surface corrosion underneath. The couplers on the 421 have surface corrosion and the roof has paint missing on one end. The 422 has one missing coupler, surface corrosion on one window and on the roof. The overall paint on the cars is clean, however due to the previous mentioned issues, cars are C6-7. The individual OBs are missing some flaps and show wear.
