DESCRIPTION: Nat Youngblood (American, 1916-2009). Watercolor on paper. Signed in lower left corner. Framed portrait of a young Native American boy. In a carved wood frame with fabric liner. A Pennsylvania native. After 17 years at Pittsburgh Press, in 1980, Mr. Youngblood retired and he established a studio in West Middletown, Pa., to further his career and turned his attention to the interests of his youth, Native American art. Mr. Youngblood has been active with numerous national exhibits, and his work has been acquired by museums and countless collectors across the country. He produced hundreds of paintings of the city of Pittsburgh, western Pennsylvania and the American Southwest. MEASUREMENTS: 20-34" x 14-1/4". Overall with frame 30" x 23-1/2". CONDITION: Minor damage to the paper-backing. No other defects noted.
