Squared exterior and shoulders with rounded interior, carved in two sections with mask motifs, Liangzhu Culture. H 9 cm. (3 1/2 in.)

From the Irving Langleb collection, a prominent Jewish gentleman who resided in Japan post-WWII and was a close friend to Prince Mikasa. Pieces offered in this sale were collected in Japan in the 1950's and bear a consistent collection label.
