An oil on board depicting a steam and sail craft and a sail boat in the folk art style, with antique style frame. The frame being 12" X 16 1/4". In the British folk art tradition, Max Wildman (British, B. 1945), takes inspiration from Alfred Wallis and Ben Nicholson in creating original marine art in pastel and other media, the unique formation of his working boards is compatible with his visions of sailing ships and of his site art together with his own selected vintage frames.
