9 1/2" h x 7 1/8" w, designed in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth, this familiar bust served as the prototype for the Lincoln cent. The plaque carries an artist's monogram and is signed "Copyright 1907 by VictorD. Brenner". A rare and important piece of numismatic history. Slight wear to high points, an insignificant scratch by Lincoln's name and a 1" abrasion along upper right edge mentioned for accuracy. Overall excellent condition.
