Description

Folk art or Native American (Indian) made objects. The birch bark and fungus vase or cylinder stands 8.5" tall, and is very intricately made. Written on the bottom in pencil: Peninsula Park, uncolored. This could be from the Belgrade Lakes region of Maine. The basket or purse appears to be very fine cedar strips or splints, with a very intricate pattern, and style that could also be from Maine. The basket is 10" from the top of the handle down, and 7 1/2" wide. Basket shows some losses at the handle.
