Description

a nicely crafted folk art model of a locomotive and tender; Typed note that came with this model notes: 'This model of a Baltimore and Ohio Locomotive, Pacific Type, 5200 series, was scaled to run on old Lionel Gauge Track (2 1/4 " between rails) and was built between 1929 and 1930. A photograph was used for reference and details of special parts were obtained by personal observation. The boiler and tender were fabricated using sheet tin, The wheels were cast in Babbit metal. - C. J. Machen' ; it is offered with the maker's wood base with custom made tin rails and B&O railroad picture book
