This lamp consists of two blown white glass elements connected by a chromed metal band. The ovular forms shed an ambient light when illuminated. Created in the late 1960s, this lamp is typical of Nason’s work, which is inspired by Op-Art.
The lamp is in good condition with a small number of marks on the chrome band. It measures 47” high.
Carlo Nason (b. 1936)
Carlo Nason was born in Murano and followed his family’s tradition of glass blowing. Paying special attention to modern design, he has collaborated with numerous glass workshops. Mazzega is one of Murano’s glass factories, located along the Grand Canal of Murano.
