These dazzling gilt ladies are two of four figures commissioned by Alain Bernardin for the well-known Crazy Horse Cabaret in Paris, France. One pair has remained in the club since their installation, flanking either side of the stage. This pair was destined for a second venue, which did not materialize.
Each semi-draped nude figure stands with upstretched arm, clutching an unlit torch. They have flat backs, and are designed to be mounted against a wall. Each is hand carved and gilt.
The sculptures remain in very good condition, with minimal scuffs and wear. They measure 99” x 21” x 17” (height x width x depth).
