Description
A large and Rare Chinesca (Type D) fragment of a large figure from West Mexico, ca. 100 B.C.-250 A.D. This beautiful and well executed figure depicts a female figure with arms to her stomach and wearing a head band, earrings, necklace, nose ring and a decorative belt that is partially shown on the front and better seen on the back. The facial features of this superb piece are extremely detailed and one of the finest examples we have had the chance of owning. Very strong paint of red and cream are still visible. Unfortunately, this piece is missing her bottom half but is displayed nicely on a custom stand. Very large and a true masterpiece that is deserving of the finest collection.
