This work by Constantine Kluge takes the audience to a fall day in Paris where the leaves have nearly all fallen from the trees, yet he is ever so careful to remind us of the beauty that nature provides as he directs our attention to the colorful flower vendors in the lower right. The grey sky and cold masonry are in contrast to the warmth that is projected at the ground level.
This painting measures 21 1/4 x 25 3/4 inches and is signed “C. Kluge” in the lower left corner. It was purchased at Wally Findlay Galleries by the family of the current owner.
