A Continental silver-gilt and jewelled ewer and stand, in Renaissance style, the ewer with over-turned rim engraved with scrolls, above a slender neck continuing to a shoulder applied with four floral sprigs, spaced by three pearl set sprigs, over an ovoid body with C-scroll castings and engraved scrolls, set with six collet set oval cut garnets and three further circular cut garnets, similarly set into a raised mount on a cobalt blue enamel roundel, the circular foot set with three collet set circular cut garnets and three floral sprays, spaced by three pearl set sprigs, the S-scroll handle cast with a phoenix, maker PV, stamped 925; the circular engraved stand similarly set with pearls and garnets.
