SHELF CRUCIFIX WHALE BONE SHELL PEARLS

Description: Two piece lot consisting of a fine and very rare small shelf covered in shells, pearls and rare stones mounted on a wood backing with a scalloped whale bone trim on front. Whaler Ionia 1870. The second item is a whale bone and wood crucifix. Christ is carved whale bone, the base is covered with shell work and pearls.
Condition : Very good. Some broken shells.
Size : Shelf - 14" tall by 10" wide and 5" deep. Crucifix - 10 3/4" tall by 7 1/2" wide and 3 1/4" deep.
