Egypt, Ca Late Dynastic Period, Ca 652 to 330 BCE. Powerful bronze section of the head of Osiris. With large crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, Side feathered plumes, Uraeus, and long false beard. Custom stand. Along with torso of another Osiris figure, hands to chest holding flail and crop. 3.25"W x 1.00"H (8.26 W x 2.54 H cm)
Provenance: Ex-Collection of William Dale. Mr. Dale was a career diplomat stationed in Turkey in the early 1960's and acquired a vast collection of Greek, Roman and Near-Eastern treasures.
