Description
Roman Empire, ca 100 BCE/CE, found in western Turkey. Small and very well potted cup. Thin redware cup, wheel thrown with impressed palmette designs on shoulder, small thin handle on shoulder/rim. 2.50"W x 3.50"H (6.35 W x 8.89 H cm)
Provenance: Ex-Collection of William Dale. Mr. Dale was a career diplomat stationed in Turkey in the early 1960's and acquired a vast collection of Greek, Roman and Near-Eastern treasures.
