Additional Information: This engraving with aquatint is hand signed in pencil by the artist “Ethon Friesz” on the lower right margin.
It is hand numbered in pencil “23/200” under the signature.
It is inscribed on the plate "gravee par Jacques Villon 1926".
It was engraved by Jacques Villon, the brother of Marcel Duchamp, under Friesz's supervision and based on Friesz's painting 'The Grape Harvest”.
It was published by Bernheim Jeune, Paris in a limited edition of 200 impressions.
The paper bears the BFK Rives watermark.
Literature: Colette de Ginestet and Catherine Pouillon. Jacques Villon - Les Estampes, Les Illustrations - Catalogue Raisonne. Arts et Metiers Graphiques.
