Additional Information: This is a beautiful original pencil drawing by the famous Hungarian artist Mihaly Von Munkácsy.
The work is hand signed in pencil at the lower left corner.
Provenance: The work was part of a large Munkácsy collection in Germany.
The work was physically examined by Mrs. Boros Judit who is an art historian specializing in 19th century Hungarian Art and in particular the works of Munkacsy.
The work is accompanied by the photo certificate of authenticity from Mrs. Judit Boros.
The certificate is hand written on the back side of a large photograph of the drawing and is signed and stamped by Mrs. Boros (see image).
It reads as follows:
"I Judit Boros, art historian, specialist at 19th century Hungarian painting,
confirm that this is a copy of an original pencil study of M. de Munkacsy (1844-1900),
prepared for the composition "Christ Before Pilate".
Dimension: 168 x 210 mm
Signed.

Condition: Good conditon. Unexamined out of the frame.
