An Indian filigree and gemset brooch / pendant, of ornate pierced oval design, set to the centre with an oval cut amethyst in successive borders of seed pearls, then floral filigree work set with eight round cut garnets, then a row of renate form whorls set alternately with seed pearls or leaves and interspersed at the outer edge with small round cut green hardstones; the floral bale set with a further garnet; all of bright yellow precious metal, tests for 18ct gold; width 5cm, length with bale 5.8cm, gross weight 20.03g
