19th century flint lock pistol and two others
Condition
Condition very poor. Pistol at bottom of image - Very worn. Rusting and pitting to barrel and plate. Mouth of barrel misshapen. Losses to hammer. Mechanism does not cock fully. Brass very worn and butt cap poorly fitted and screwed down. Screws not flush. Split in wood below barrel. Lacks ramrod. Persian? markings on barrel and plate. Overall very poor. Middle (double barreled) pistol - Rusting and pitting to all metal parts. It was a good quality piece. The plates either side of grip are marked 'Swinburn & Son 1855', the butt cap is marked 'Scinde Irregular Horse'. Left hand is bent away from the grip. Split along the length of the barrel. Grip has broken off at some point, been repaired with nails, filler over the top and has split again. Both barrels fully cock and produce a sharp click when fired.
