Quality silver work in the traditional style
The well-preserved silversmith work dating back to the early twenties of the 19th century and was made by the workshop of the Brunswick master Friedrich August Jacobi. The deep conveyor bowl has a double-sided extended spout and shows a plastic rosette with curved rim on the base. The slim, clubbed ebony gripe serves as a handle.
The trowel is in good condition. The ivory knob on the end of the handle is missing. The handle shows the usual traces of age and wear. The ladle is marked on the reverse with a rearing lion, the date letter ‘A’ and the markers mark ‘Jacobi’ rectangular framed. The length measures 42 cm. The total weight of the trowel is 123 grams.
