A CARVED FRUITWOOD CANAPE. Bearing a needlepoint tapestry upholstery with braided trim, a carved shell motif througout, nailhead trim, and scroll feet 36" x 81" x 30"

The upholstery on this piece has a medium amount of wear with significant fading to the narrative scene, that is not as significant on the foliate areas. There are a couple 1" tears to scene on seat cushion that has some stitched repair. There is significant amount of matting/compressing to the seat cushion. and some matting to the cushion on the arms and back. The seat is still stable and sturdy, it just needs new stuffing. The fabric also has a light medium amount of yellowing from age, and a medium amount of grime build up. The fabric on the back of the piece has significant wear and several 5-10" tears. The wood has light overall wear. There is more noticeable wear to the feet from age and use. The top back corners also have some noticeable wear and scuffing.
