Description
A VIENNA PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP. German, late 18th century Height: 8.5"
Condition
This piece has negligible surface scuffs from age appropriate wear and light gilt loss. There are several .25" diameter sections of leaves chipped on the base. There is restoration to the male figure's hat which has been repainted and about half of the rim appears to have broken off and been reglued (repair hidden by paint). There is a .5" diameter chip to the sleeve of the lady figure and a .25" diameter chip to the child's foot. The pointer finger of of the female figure is broken off and there is adhesive residue on her hand, her eyebrow, on the side of the nose of the gentleman, and a few other pen tip spots of adhesive residue are scattered around that area. There are a few ridges to the gentleman's jacket with faint pigment loss and a pen tip misplaced paint spots, most notably a red spot on the side of the child's head. There are a few pen tip sized dark pigment spots and a few light splits in the crevices scattered throughout, all irregularities from firing.
