Description
A detailed Egyptian faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded across chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, column of text down the front, vertical plinth down back. A nice example with delicate features and overall eye appeal, traces of green-blue glaze. H: 4 2/5 in (11.2cm). Ex Wiltshire, England private collection.
